Food Fam marked its transition into the digital era with a complete rebrand from Slagerij Johan & Inge, and at the heart of this evolution was the creation of a sleek, modern website and integrated webshop.
The goal was to align the company’s evolving identity with a fast, mobile optimized digital platform one that could effectively showcase their full product range, including seasonal bundles, while simplifying the shopping experience for both loyal and new customers.
The build focused on delivering a fully responsive layout that reflected Food Fam’s updated branding, paired with a clear, structured navigation system that allows users to easily explore categories such as fresh meats, curated specials, and festive offerings. The checkout process was customized to remove all shipping options, as orders are exclusively available for in-store pickup. A date picker was integrated into the checkout, enabling customers to choose their preferred pickup date, automatically limited to the store’s operating hours.
The system was configured to send an automatic notification 30 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, ensuring timely fulfillment and a smoother overall process. Additionally, for products like meats or cheese that are sold by weight rather than quantity, the product setup was tailored to accept gram-based input and calculate pricing accordingly.
To streamline backend operations, the client requested real-time visibility into orders via Google Sheets. An automated system was set up using a WooCommerce webhook and Pabbly free plan to sync each webshop order directly into a connected Google Sheet, providing seamless, transparent access to order data without the need for complex dashboards.
The result was a scalable e-commerce platform, custom-built to reflect Food Fam’s new identity and engineered to support their ongoing growth in the digital space.
